During the first couple of weeks of being CEO I have noticed the members of SafeLanes are high intensity. Each one is sacrificial and willing to do whatever they can to bring success to the company. They are extremely motivated and bring the best out of each other.
Leadership is not something that can be described in just one word, it is a skill that requires different aspects such as patience, flexibility, and humility. The term leader describes a person who has the patience to listen to people’s ideas, and be humble when talking about one's own. It requires a person to collaborate with members of a team while understanding and incorporating different viewpoints and ideas into projects. Being a leader does not mean being an autocrat, but instead describes a person who can make and execute decisions that are based on inputs from his/her peers. To conclude, a leader is a person who demonstrates all of these skills but at the same time has the tenacity to grow and learn from their mistakes.
Conflicts are discussed in a orderly fashion and in most cases after the majority rule is considered we execute the solution to our dilemma. As the CEO I rarely catch a member off task. The reason for this is I often feel the work that is being given can sometime be repetitive. I hope to fix this and make activities more engaging to other member of the company.
Each person in the company adds a unique quality that contributes to the company's success. Over the past weeks we have built team chemistry and better understand each other's strength and weakness. Everybody in the company has the desire and competitive spirit to achieve success and will stop at nothing to achieve it. The team operates at a high intensity level and continues to help the company grow. I am planning to make sure everybody stays on task and bring an efficient learning environment to the table.
